TAKE TWO APPLES AND CALL ME IN THE MORNING (Nutrition for Healthy Living) 1 hour lecture
Would you like to know more about using food instead of medicine to restore and protect your health? IN AND OUT OF THE PRESSURE COOKER - STRESS REDUCTION IN EVERYDAY LIFE. 1 hour lecture
This will be a lecture/practicum. The first part of the session will be spent learning about our fight or flight response and how it effects our everyday lives (with lectures and overheads). We will then go into an experiential mode and I will lead the group in a gentle exercise designed to release stress from our body and preserve our flexibility and youthfulness. We will then learn two breathing exercises great for calming the mind and feeling centered and clear. These exercises are easy to learn, fun to do and are designed to add to your daily life for profound health benefits.

IN AND OUT OF THE PRESSURE COOKER, STRESS REDUCTION IN EVERYDAY LIFE (3 Parts) 2-3 hour workshops
This will be designed as a lecture practicum. The first part of the session will be spent learning about the flight or fight response and how it effects our everyday lives (with lecture and overheads). We'll then go into an experiential mode and I will lead the group in systematic relaxation and a (joints and glands) exercise that we use to release stress in our body and preserve our flexibility and youthfulness. After a short break and some brief processing, I will continue to teach two breathing techniques, one simple and one advanced, for relaxation, centering and preparation for meditation. We will then discuss corrective emotional attitudes to reduce stress in our daily life and end with a brief practicum on meditation using the skills that we learned during the day, entering and gaining a sense of peace. These techniques are easy to learn, fun to do, and are easily added to one's daily life with profound results

DEVELOPING PEACE OF MIND. l hour-part 1
What brings peace of mind? In this lecture we will explore the potential of work- (with its creativity, purpose, and the idea of helping co-create a world to live in.)family- (healing conflict between members, selflessness, and unexpressed love) inner child- (acceptance and guidance for our inner child) and spirit- (communicating with that still soft voice ,our soul, utilizing meditation and relaxation) in their role in bringing peace of mind.

DEVELOPING PEACE OF MIND 1 hour-part 2
What brings peace of mind? In this lecture we will explore what I like to think of as practical spiritual guidance covering the following concepts. Skillful action, selfless orientation, loving attitude, faith in the rightness of things, and non-attachment. I find the understanding and practice of these concepts helps bring peace of mind.

CLAITY OF CONSCIOUSNESS BECOMING THE INSTRUMENT-l hour
In this lecture/practicum, we will explore the philosophy that a human being is able to clear out physical and mental interferences that prevent us from connecting within and finding guidance. This inner truth helps direct our thoughts, speech and actions so that our very life becomes an expression of the divine's will. We will study a model of the mind taught by yoga philosophy and apply this and learn a simple technique for meditation that you can practice at home to help you develop this clarity we seek.

RECHARGE, REJUNVENATE AND RECONNECT (AGING GRACEFULLY WORKSHOP) (2-1/2 - 3 hours)
In the first part of this workshop we will discuss foods that support energy and vitality and prevent chronic illness such as inflammatory diseases, heart disease and cancer. I'll touch on sugars, healthy fats, the protein options, the power of fruits and vegetables, the skillful use of vitamins and minerals and what foods to avoid. The second part of the workshop will be a practicum. I will teach exercises for rejuvenation, relaxation and flexibility. These exercises include a gentle yoga exercise, and two breathing techniques. In the third part of the workshop we will reconnect to those around us through a heartfelt discussion of what's important and reconnect to our inner selves with basic meditation techniques. 3 hours

YOGA AND SELF TRANSFORMATION 1 hour
In this lecture practicum, we will explore how simple hatha yoga postures and our daily life experiences can be used to transform our personalities, progress towards enlightenment, and face these challenges that are unique to us in our individual lives. In this workshop I would like to share how I have integrated the practice of psychotherapy and psychiatry with holistic medicine. I will give case examples of individual couples in family psychotherapy and how I have blended those treatments with nutritional suggestions, vitamins and supplementation, energy medicine (homeopathy) and stress reduction techniques. The first half would include a case example of individual therapy and how nutrition and homeopathy helped the therapeutic process. The second have of the session would include examples of couple's therapy in which homeopathy, traditional medication, flower essences and meditation was all useful. We will leave time at the end for process and integration.

Specific to the therapy I would like to explore a combination of psychodynamic therapy along side humanistic psychotherapy such as Gestalt therapy and the use of stress reduction techniques within the therapy milieu.
