It’s the dog days of summer, so why not make your furry friend a tasty treat? These homemade dog treats are made with lots of protein to keep your dog healthy and strong.

INGREDIENTS

• 1 cup plain, whole fat kefir
• 1 cup coconut milk
• 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter (should be low sugar and salt without additives)
• 2 strips of cooked bacon, cut into small pieces
• 1 banana

DIRECTIONS

Put everything except for the bacon into a food processor or blender, and process until completely smooth and consistency is even. Pour into 1 oz. Dixie cups or ice cube trays. Sprinkle bacon on the top and freeze for until solid. When ready to use, peel the cup off of the frozen treat and serve.
